DogWatch Graduates Page 4

Kasey CindynDave

Kasey really gave Cindy & Dave a run for their money (open the door and it was run Kasey run). Eric & Jen (find them on previous graduate pages) were kind enough to tell them about how great our product works and after a short time of training, Kasey’s adventures were over. But honestly, she was only trying to be friendly.

FenwayDannynValerie

Fenway to the left wasn’t Danny & Valerie’s big problem. It was Bruiser to the right. Danny had a competitor fence and Bruiser was just too smart to be contained behind it. Once I installed the DogWatch fence though, Bruiser came out on the deck and put the typical boxer thinking frown on as if to say “nuts now there’s a new game in town”. Sorry Bruiser, the DogWatch fence was just a bit smarter.

SophieJohnnYvette

May I introduce John & Yvette’s pride and joy. That’s Pride to the left and Joy to the right. Only kidding about the names, to the left is Sophie and to the right is Gil. These two lovelies are so well behaved and devoted to both John & Yvette it was truly beautiful to see. I must say I learned a lot from John the day we installed the fence about just about everything. The man is a mountain of knowledge and starves for more.

FrankieEdnMaryAnn

Oh Frankie, so full of energy (and I mean full), that he pays attention to everything but what he’s supposed to. Frankie has focus but only to the things he finds worth focusing on. He is one of the most persistent dogs I have met. I had to spend a bit more time in the initial training than normal on this guy. He towed me across the yard banged his head against this new hidden wall we installed and then towed me to the other side because maybe it wasn’t there you know. Banged his head couple more times and went to another spot. After awhile, we wore him down and he started focusing on what he was supposed to. From that point on it was gravy. I am proud to say that Ed & Mary Ann finished off the training marvelously and Frankie is proudly displayed as A DogWatch Graduate!

You’re probably wondering what Charlie has in his mouth. It’s his retractable leash! Yes sir, Charlie is the boss; tried and true so much so he can even take himself on a walk if he chooses to. Charlie enjoys hangin’ with his boys in the garage when they’re fixing trucks and such but occasionally has to give them boys a few pointers when they get stuck. John and Ann Marie are happy that Charlie is around to keep everybody in line around their? place. It’s truly amazing that so much personality can be put into such a small package. Charlie of course thought that the DogWatch fence was a good idea otherwise he would have never trained himself to stay in. He’s such a cutie!

BellanEsterJohnnIrene

Here we have Ester with her dog, Bella. This twosome were so cute to watch the whole time we were installing the fence. Ester truly loves her pup and takes very good care of her. Good thing now Bella is protected so they can now play without a leash free to run around the yard together as friends.

PiggyDougnAllen

Ok get ready for this. To the left, we have Piggy and to the right is Cornelius. I just love those names. Doug & Allen were very skeptical about the success of whole fencing idea but were quick to call happier than happy when all was said and done and Piggy & Cornelius were doing great.  What most people don’t realize is I only give the dogs a good start on the fence but it is by their devotion to their dogs to follow through with the rest of the training. That is why their dogs are properly trained in and not scared in. Great job to Doug & Allen!

MiaLiz

Here is Mia who belongs to a sweet lady named Liz. These two are an inseparable team. Can you believe they take a walk every morning no matter what the weather.  Now they enjoy gardening and a bunch of other stuff together without having to worry about Mia taking off and getting hurt.

This is busy Brandy who belongs to busy Ed & Eunice. I tell you between the two of them there was little for myself and Aaron to do. Ed & Eunice had the pvc pipe from the house out to the edge of the mulch and even blew a path through the woods so we could see where we were going. I never saw a prettier thing. Of course they were ready and willing to help throughout the installation but unfortunately there was little for them to do (a true bummer for them). I’m glad that Brandy can now go around and help Ed & Eunice with all their projects. Both Aaron and I enjoyed installing this fence; we had a blast! I even got a new nickname from Ed. From now on just call me Murphy!

ArahTomnKelly

Brooke is Dr. Dean’s special nurse and I can see why. She’s got such a big heart that she just had to have the DogWatch fence to keep Arah safe. It wasn’t a big yard but we managed to get the neighbor to agree to have the wire just a little on his property to give Arah the most room we could (thanks again). The important thing is that Arah is able to be with her family wherever they are without being on the tieout.

SamYvetteRichard

Sam to the left and Lila to the right are Portugese Water Dogs. Yvette & Richard drove to Canada to pick these guys up. They only went up for one but couldn’t separate the brother and sister team. They both have such unique personalities. Lila likes to hide on you (behind plants and such) and if you say “where’s Lila” she thinks you can’t see her (but you can) and stands as still as the night. When she’s ready, she’ll dart out and you then get to say “there she is”. This just makes her happy as a clam because she thought she got the one up on you!

BrandyRose

Can you say spoiled? Brandy there on the left sure is. Note the really neat dog bed she gets to lay in. On the right is Gunner who only comes up to visit Brandy every once in awhile. Even though Gunner isn’t there very often, Brandy & Gunner can enjoy their time together.

CharlieLouisMarge

Here’s King Charlie, lord and master of the household of Louis and Marge. Charlie was no problem to train to the fence being he is the smartest dog in the world of course. After the initial training, Charlie decided to take a nap pure Charlie style on his couch where I have to admit he fit in like a glove.

Here’s Maddie the runner. Lyn & Michael has two other dogs that make no attempt to leave the estate but not Maddie cuz there’s better things out there don’t you know. A little bit of wire later and training and Maddie now has to stay at home along with her older siblings.

King & Toby just moved into their new house on top of a mountain (don’t think I’m kidding). The day we installed the fence there were 2 really bad lightning storms. I’m glad Kim & TJ chose DogWatch with our outstanding lightning protection after I saw the type storms they experience there.

AllieChristine

Here’s the little spitfire Allie. Christine works all day and Allie was bought to give Christine’s mom some companionship during the day. Trouble was that as soon as the door opened Allie was more interested in what was going on down the block and poor Mom had to try to catch her again. DogWatch to the rescue and now Allie enjoys her time with Momma and Momma doesn’t have to worry about chasing her anymore.

Avery is such a sweet dog. The whole family is sweet though. Kristen was hesitant about choosing DogWatch but somehow found it to trust us with her precious Avery. You see some people just can’t get past that we don’t charge a cazillion dollars for something but give top quality for the money they pay (yep flags are included too). I had the great pleasure of repairing their fence from a massive lightning strike after Avery was trained. I just love to go back and see how happy everyone is once the fence is back up and running so that they all can enjoy their freedom again.

Oh my, I can write forever on this fence. It is the first one that we actually drove in Tim’s favorite blazer (with Tim driving yikes) around the boundary. Then Tim being as busy as he is didn’t get a chance to get the outlet hooked up before I got there but I got to meet his cool neighbor and witness an electrical wizard at work (complicated wiring setup in old house). There was no shortage of laughter with this one. So may I introduce the 4 pups that caused this good time Daisy on top, JR to the left, Pearl to the right, and heading up the bottom is old Goldie. Prior to the fence Donna would try to wear these guys out before putting them to bed but now that they have DogWatch they wear themselves out and bedtime is something they look forward to.

A nervous but patient Mom, two beautiful boys, three great dogs, and one tough basement wall is what all great fences are made of, aren’t they? Erin & Joe had their reservations about training this threesome, Johnny on left, Hollie to the right, and little Mister below. I pointed out that no matter what problem should arise, we’d work together to see this threesome to graduation day. Erin kept me updated via e-mail as the dogs progressed in training. I found these e-mails such a true testament towards this cooperative effort to get this threesome successfully contained that I have documented our emails and given them their own page Diary of a Fence on this website. I have to thank Erin, Joe, and especially Parke & Dakota (the two handsome boys in the pics) for the great job they all did to reach our goal. I am truly proud to introduce Johnny, Hollie, & Mister as DogWatch graduates!!

Cocoa’s proud owners are Mike & Nicole. Mike & Nicole had quite a complicated setup in mind for inside the house but we figured out the best way that saved them a ton of money using only one of our indoor units hardwired as opposed to 3 wireless competitor units. Now Cocoa can go downstairs to the basement via the stairwell and still avoid the rooms that run adjacent to the stairwell (an impossible task with a wireless unit). Cocoa now has the freedom to run around outside and not get into trouble inside making Mike & Nicole quite pleased I’m sure.

SkyLarry

Tucker Tom sent me this gem, Larry who is proud owner of Sky. Larry didn’t expect to see me get out of the truck with crutches as I had fallen off some branches that broke and fractured my ankle. The fence was a success even though the property was on a pretty steep hill. Sky did wonderful during training with her trusted friend Larry by her side. I have no doubt that they are both enjoying the freedom that a DogWatch fence provides.

Here’s Becca & I (notice the air cast) after training her precious pooch Scamp the bum. Becca’s Uncle Joe was the actual purchaser of the fence for his two German Shepherds who at the time were too young to train. So, in effect, Scamp here was the guinea pig. After Scamp did so well with the fence, Joe, Becca, & Randy have become one of my biggest advocates for the DogWatch system. So much so that they wrote a testimonial to DogWatch corporate and have been diligent in referring me to several newly initiated DogWatch owners. Since this picture they have added several dogs to their family and all will soon be DogWatch graduates (pics will follow). I thank them for the kindness & support they have given me.

NutmegSusan
ApolloKeith

Susan had a tough job on her hands with poor Nutmeg on the left. Susan had purchased a wireless store unit and tried to use it to contain Nutmeg to a somewhat small yard. For reasons unknown but suspected, Nutmeg was traumatized beyond belief from this unit. When Susan called she told me of her dilemma and asked if I would be able to successfully contain Nutmeg without any more trauma. I told her that my main mission in putting anyone’s fence in was to make it as non traumatizing as possible. Nutmeg never forgot her experience with the other fence which was clear as soon as we put the DogWatch collar on; she didn’t want to move because she was scared. Bailey to the right with Susan’s son Tyler, on the other hand, was never traumatized and trained very easily to the fence while Nutmeg was frozen in fear of what was going to happen to her. It took a little more time than normal, but we were able to use Bailey romping about happily trained to show Nutmeg that the DogWatch fence would not malfunction in any way to hurt her. Once she realized this, Nutmeg is now happy to play with Bailey, Tyler, & Susan as in the past.

Keith’s mom Ruth has been a happy DogWatch customer since DogWatch still had an AM system (we have operated on FM since 2000). It was a no-brainer who they would choose to protect Keith’s priceless pooches. Apollo to the left is a French Bulldog; and my little buddy Killer(gotta love it) bonded with me so much so that I will have me a Chihuahua just like him someday. It was a truly a case of love at first sight.

What do you name a gorgeous Irish Setter living in an Irish family? Shannon of course! Marilyn is sure one busy lady so it’s a good thing that Shannon can tire herself out running here and there so they can have a peaceful night together.
